Carla’s Pasta Select Eagle
Carla’s Pasta is a Leading manufacturer of homemade filled pasta’s, Italian sauces and pesto’s from fresh ingredients: Located in South Windsor, CT has selected Eagle as their automated data collection / wireless barcoding partner.
Phase I of this deployment includes Inventory Management and Warehouse Management. Operators with RF terminals will receive purchased raw materials, assign internal license plates, and print bar code labels simultaneously via Eagle’s software. Finished goods will be lot controlled, and the lot number assigned will provide Carla’s Pasta with FIFO inventory usage. Sales order picking operators will use RF terminals to pick/stage finished goods in FIFO order and validate that the correct item, lot and quantity are picked. Phase II will focus on the shop floor production reporting.

Phase I of the implementation will include Inventory Management, Advanced Repetitive, Warehouse Management, Shipping, and associated bar code label printing. Real-time label printing will span from inbound raw materials, product identification, and customer specific SSCC-18 labels. Phase II will include product tracking, the use of RFID is currently being reviewed.
